- 1950
PPP was founded in september 1950 in Venice, by Giorgio Manzelli, near to the Theatre “La Fenice” as a laboratory for the processing of acrylic sheets, one of the first Companies in the Veneto to work with this innovative material.
Later, due to a rapidly growing number of orders and in order to facilitate logistic needs, the activity was moved to Mestre.
- 1972
After an initial phase working in relatively small spaces, Mr. Manzelli made the decision to construct a new plant in what was at the time the outskirts of the city.
The futuristic design of the plant by two important venetian architects, manufactured in concrete and steel, is reminiscent of a great ship sailing towards the venetian lagoon. The factory opened in 1972.
- 1970-1990
Without abandoning the typical “traditional” working methods PPP introduced new system of industrial production, and thus winning important contracts on a national level, from major navigation companies, the italian rail network, and clients from both the public and private sector.
From lighting screens to technical details, from third party realizations to articles planned and realized under PPP brand, production also moved into display and shopfitting, especially for emerging major retail chains.
During these years alongside the acrilic sheet workings, thermoplastic injection moulding was introduced (today there are 12 mould machines from 60 to 3600 grams) producing display items and a complete range of open cell system ceilings in plastic, for which PPP today is a world leader.
Products under the PPP brand soon became very well known, appreciated and distributed also abroad, due to our regular participation in trade fairs in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and other countries including India and the Americas.
- 2001-2009
In December 2001 Mr. Manzelli was succeeded by his daughter Michela whom despite the difficult economic climate of the time, has continued to take PPP forward.
Her belief the importance of innovation and the quality of PPP products, has led to radical updating and improvements including new machinery, being awarded important European certification including CE and fire rating marks, new website and last but not least the renewal of the entire Factory plant which was launched on 15.05.2009.
